Earlier this year, I had the opportunity to work at an office for about eight weeks. It was an excellent experience. I was able to learn a lot about how an office operates, and I became much more comfortable with talking on the phone with people I don't know. My boss, Mr. K from church, was understanding, and he helped me get up to speed before things got really busy.
I had the opportunity to debate in several NCFCA tournaments this year. Each of these was a good combination of work and fun. I had a great debate partner this year, and we worked well together. She and I live rather far from each other, making it hard to do practice rounds and strategy sessions, but we managed to hold our own. I was glad to debate one last year, and it turned out to be a profitable year.
Recently I have been working on various projects around the house, including fixing the back awning. Many of the boards were rotten and the whole thing desperately needed a new coat of paint. As I began working, I realized how big of a project it really is. I am still plugging away at it, hoping to finish it soon. Here are a few pictures or the beggining of the project.
Starting tomorrow I have drama rehearsals every weekday until opening night, May 16. The month of May is the busiest month of my year, as it has been for many years. It is also my favorite month of the year. Sadly, this very well could be my last play. It seems strange to think that I might not be doing it next year. It has been such a huge part of my life for over nine years!
Here is a photo my sister took of our Lady Banks rose in full bloom and one of my mom's hanging plants.
May the Lord guide your day,
